A virus which generates false messages from infected Facebook users in a bid to get credit card and other personal details has now spread to another social networking site.
The 'Koobface' virus is now on the prowl for unsuspecting users of the Bebo social blogging site - which claims 45 million users worldwide.
Members receive 'messages' from their friends with subjects such as 'You look awesome in this movie'. Following the link prompts them to download updates, such as an updated video player.
Once infected, the virus will lead them to contaminated sites when they try to use search engines such as Google or Yahoo.
Virus scanning company ScanSafe spotted the virus's jump to Bebo.
